Job Summary
The Field Engineer 2 will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of GE Precision Healthcare equipment at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
* Perform installation, calibration, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of GE Precision Healthcare equipment, including but not limited to diagnostic imaging systems (MRI, CT, X-ray), ultrasound machines, and patient monitoring devices.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues on-site, utilizing schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
* Execute emergency repairs promptly to minimize downtime for healthcare providers and ensure continuous patient care.
* Provide comprehensive technical support and training to customer staff on the proper operation and basic maintenance of GE equipment.
* Manage a territory and schedule service calls efficiently to meet established service level agreements and customer expectations.
* Maintain accurate and timely service records, documentation, and reports using company-provided software.
* Adhere to all company safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO).
* Proactively identify opportunities for product improvements, service enhancements, and customer education.
* Collaborate effectively with sales, technical support, and product development teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
* Manage inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring proper handling and accountability.

Qualifications
* Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or equivalent technical role, preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry.
* Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex electronic and mechanical systems.
* Strong understanding of networking principles and computer hardware/software troubleshooting.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency with diagnostic tools, test equipment, and service software.
* Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
* Ability to travel frequently within a designated service territory, including overnight stays as needed.
* Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in various healthcare environments.
