What you´ll do
+ Plan and lead the activities of the formulation team to support marketing plans, business objectives and all assigned projects. Help team members develop innovative technologies, identify new opportunities, claims and application methodologies.
+ Develop, formulate and test new cosmetic and hair related products within timelines, performance and cost objectives. Actively participate in creating realistic timelines with Project planning and Marketing.
+ Provide team members with appropriate training and understanding of the departmental procedures.
+ Plan group’s workload to actualize company’s goals and strategic directions. Provide project co-ordination and daily project directions.
+ Maintain clear resource allocation and project tracking documentation. Maintain current knowledge and understanding of the industry regulations and requirements and provide leadership to ensure product compliance.
+ Exhibit strong commitment to quality and product safety. Strive to develop high performance products. Conduct and oversee product stabilities for all new products.
+ Conduct and ensure all direct reports conduct all development activities with high quality, complying with departmental and corporate procedures, SOPs and cGMP requirements. Initiate and follow-up on audits and drive continuing process and quality improvements throughout the group and department.
+ Provide technical support for new products; compile comprehensive technical summaries for ingredients, features and product performances for Marketing and Education.
+ Ensure smooth transfer of formulas to the factory, oversee pilots and first production. Provide support and information to Compounding as needed. Must be able to travel within US and abroad to support business needs.
+ Foster environment of innovation within the group, help allocate time and select viable exploratory projects. Must personally engage in research activities to develop innovative products, identify new technologies, applications, claims, and testing methodologies.

+ Strong communication stills to inform and collaborate with the Management team. Knowledgeable about the status of all projects, formulation successes and issues, stability concerns and the status and progress of direct reports with frequent formal and informal verbal and written updates.
+ Knowledgeable about the R&D development process and hair color technologies.
+ Exhibit solid understanding of R&D Formulation and Henkel Project Management systems and provide necessary help and support to the chemists on an ongoing basis.
+ Promptly responsive to requests for information from Marketing, Supply Chain partners, Education and Operation groups.

The salary for this role is $120,000.00- $130,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
