Anticipated Work Location/Hours:

Veronica Connor Middle School

Monday-Friday: 7:25 am to 2:25 pm (10 months)

Salary:

$19.94/hr per SRP Contract

Duties:

+ Work with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups

+ Assist with transitions so that students participate in classroom activities

+ Supervise students and perform other services as determined by the teacher

+ Follow directions from the principal

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; or four years of experience and knowledge where specialized duties are involved

+ Ability to work with student(s)

+ Patience in dealing with students with disabilities

+ Good communication skills

+ Empathetic but able to positively motivate students to do well

Qualifications Desired:

+ Teacher aide or personal care aide experience preferred

+ Proven ability to interact with faculty/staff, students, and parents

+ Safety Cares training preferred
