Key Account Manager – New Business Development Focus
**Location: Remote, US –** Candidate to be located in **Eastern** United States (generally East of Cincinnati) and able to travel to customer locations in this region.
Position Summary
The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving new business growth by winning new opportunities with both new and existing accounts, with a primary focus on new acquisitions. This role combines strategic account management, proactive sales execution, and industry expertise to expand market share and deliver exceptional customer value. The ideal candidate is a self-driven, results-oriented sales professional with a proven track record in business development and account management.
Key Responsibilities
Account Strategy & Development
+ Define and execute strategic account plans for high-potential customers and target industries.
+ Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with new and existing accounts, both through direct engagement and by leveraging established sales channels such as prime contractors, strategic partners, and industry alliances.
+ Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, and procurement teams.
+ Serve as an industry specialist, providing insights and thought leadership to differentiate the company’s offerings.
Sales Execution
+ Achieve and exceed sales targets for the full portfolio of Tektronix CSO’s semiconductor assembly and test services.
+ Proactively generate leads, create demand, and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure and post-sales follow-up.
+ Support negotiation of contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms aligned with company objectives.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies and deliver customer solutions.
+ Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and deal information in the company’s CRM system.
Market Intelligence & Customer Advocacy
+ Monitor and analyze customer and market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies. Provide feedback internally to adapt strategies and capability roadmap.
+ Act as the “voice of the customer” internally, advocating for customer needs while balancing business interests.
+ Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows and conferences, building relationships with key organizations and influencers.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with a strong track record in business development and account management (experience with OSAT customers seeking ‘outsourced semiconductor assembly & test’ services preferred).
+ Demonstrated ability to drive new business growth and deliver results through process-oriented, data-driven sales methods.
+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate technical information into compelling customer value propositions.
+ Highly self-organized, autonomous, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proficient in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%) as required by the role.

Pay Range
The salary range for this sales position (inclusive of sales incentives/commissions in local currency) is 164500 - 305500
Is this role subject to ITAR?
