    Responsibilities

    + The Exchange Coordinator assists the pharmacist with preparation of routine medications for distribution to facilities based on physician orders and prescriptions

    + Fill cycle medication orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner

    + Review pre-pack list and prepare 30/31 day cards with the appropriate drug

    + Works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist assisting with dispensing medication according to the prescription

    + Assist the inventory tech with restocking and cleaning shelves with medication and other items as needed

    + May assist with regular inventory cycle

    + Assist in shipping the medications according to the facility and work with the shipping clerk to ensure boxes are shipped in a timely manner

    + Sort prescriptions according to facility and print packing slips for cycle exchange

    + Communicate with nursing staff to obtain/provide key information

    + Follow all applicable government regulations including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act

    Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Pharmacy technician certification in the appropriate state

    + Minimum one year of related experience in data entry

    + Excellent data entry skills

    + Attention to detail and be able to work under deadlines

    + Excellent oral and written communication skills
