Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our client’s business solutions team within their IT organization. The ideal candidate will bring at least 4 years of professional experience and a strong background in the insurance and annuities industry. This role will serve as a critical liaison between business units and IT, with a focus on application support and data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate requirements for application support and data initiatives.

Application Support: Provide functional expertise for existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with technical teams to ensure timely resolution.

Data Analysis: Work with business units to understand data needs, define data requirements, and support reporting and analytics initiatives.

Solution Design: Translate business requirements into functional specifications and partner with IT teams to design scalable solutions.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.

Documentation: Create and maintain business process documentation, workflows, and system support materials.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance business processes, improve data quality, and optimize application performance.

Compensation:

$50/hr to $65/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

-4+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.

-Background in insurance, annuities, or financial services strongly preferred.

-Familiarity with application support, data analysis, and reporting tools.

-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across business and IT teams.

-Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable solutions.

-Ability to work onsite 2-3 days a week -Experience with policy administration systems or annuity platforms.

-Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, or BI tools.

-Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative project environments.
