    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer with expertise in FPGA design for RF applications. This is for an Aviation company, reporting to Manager over Surveillance HW and Advanced Development Engineering. This role involves developing and verifying FPGA-based systems for high-speed signal processing and RF front-end integration. You will collaborate closely with our firmware team in Phoenix, AZ, to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

     

    On-Site: 9/80 schedule

    Key Responsibilities

    Design, implement, and verify FPGA firmware using VHDL for RF signal processing.

     

    Develop and maintain constraint files, perform IP integration, and conduct Static Timing Analysis (STA).

     

    Perform Cross Clock Domain (CDC) analysis and simulation using XSIM.

     

    Utilize Aldec Active-HDL PE or similar tools for simulation, code coverage, and failure analysis.

     

    Integrate and validate high-speed interfaces such as RS232/RS422, SPI, LVDS, DAC, ADC, and JESD204.

     

    Implement digital filters, multipliers, and RF signal processing algorithms.

     

    Collaborate with RF engineers to ensure seamless integration with RF front-end components.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    BS in Electrical Engineering or similar

     

    5+ years Firmware engineering experience

     

    Strong RF FPGA DESIGN experience for RF Applications

     

    -Understanding of RF front-end component

     

    - Knowledge of high-speed data converters (DAC/ADC) and JESD204 interface.

     

    RF System integration; understanding of RF front-end components

     

    Xilinx Vivado Expertise

     

    VHDL coding experience with filters and multipliers Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink for RF algorithm modeling.
