Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer to support a Research & Technology organization on a multi-year initiative to modernize data management and accelerate product development. The role focuses on building a unified data platform using a Lakehouse architecture (Databricks on Azure), ensuring pipeline reliability, governance, and user enablement. He or she will need to be able to engage directly with stakeholders and translate into work product independently. This person will be compensated $90-$100/hr depending on their experience.

Skills and Requirements
12 years of experience within the Data Management, Engineering, and/or Analysis space
Extensive experience working with Azure services - i.e., Databricks, Data Factory, Purview, Synapse Analytics
Understanding of Unity Catalog in relation to Azure Databricks
Experience programming within Python and SQL
Experience working with Terraform
Customer/Client Facing Experience and Skills • Experience ingesting instrument/lab data (e.g., chromatography, rheology, pilot plant)
• Metadata cataloging and data product patterns
