    Job Description

    A client of Insight Global is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join their team. This individual will be responsible for leading data transformations from source to target. This person will lead and work on various projects involving data transformations within Smurfit Westrock's newly implemented systems. The lead will be responsible for the architecture and design for continuous improvement on projects involving up to 550 data pipelines. Salary for this position is $160,000.

    Skills and Requirements

    - 7-8 years of overall experience in data engineering

    • Data modeling, creating solutions

    - Experience leading senior engineers/teams of engineers

    • Making decisions on design and architecture

    - Palantir Foundry experience

    • Newer tool, but needs recent experience/ a SME when it comes to pipeline building and Go/No-Go development within Palantir Foundry

    - Experience in ontology

    • Creating ontology, creating workshops

     

    - Data quality oversight experience

     

    - PySpark experience

     

    - Experience working in an AWS environment

     

    - Python scripting experience - Experience working on large implementations, working on big project and a lot of pipelines all at once

     

    - Experience with Microsoft Fabric
