Overview
The Director, APS Procurement plays a critical role within ABM’s centralized procurement function. This individual will lead sourcing strategy, supplier management, and performance optimization for all suppliers supporting ABM Performance Solutions (APS), ABM’s integrated facilities services platform.
With responsibility for approximately $150M to $200M in annual spend, this role will lead strategic supplier engagements across categories such as HVAC, janitorial, fire/life safety, and other facilities-related services. The Director will collaborate closely with APS operations leaders and internal partners in legal, risk, and finance to ensure supplier performance, compliance, and alignment with service delivery expectations.
They will also work in close coordination with other category leaders in Procurement to ensure alignment on cross-functional initiatives, supplier strategies, and enterprise-wide sourcing goals.
This is a high-visibility position suited for a strategic procurement leader with deep experience managing complex supplier networks and the ability to influence across a field-driven organization.
Pay: $140,000.00-$170,000.00.

Primary Responsibilities
+ Serve as the central procurement partner for APS-specific sourcing and supplier management initiatives, supporting account teams and field operations.
+ Play an active role in the new client onboarding process by collaborating with APS and operations teams to evaluate supplier needs and identify opportunities to either self-perform work or leverage existing strategic suppliers, minimizing unnecessary onboarding of new vendors and improving operational efficiency.
+ Develop and lead category strategies for APS suppliers that align with enterprise procurement goals and the operational needs of APS clients. Use data-driven insights by mining existing account activity and spend data to identify opportunities for self-performance of work, strategic sourcing events, cost savings, and supplier consolidation.
+ Own the design and implementation of vendor management infrastructure (governance models, reporting frameworks, and stakeholder engagement protocols) and ensure consistent vendor performance across APS accounts.
+ Lead RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations across core APS service lines, balancing service quality, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.
+ Partner with APS leadership to define requirements, analyze demand, and ensure sourcing strategies reflect on-the-ground realities and long-term account objectives.
+ Develop and distribute APS-specific procurement and vendor management resources (SOPs, onboarding kits, and playbooks) and deliver training to field and account leaders to drive consistent adoption and management performance.
+ Lead supplier business reviews with strategic vendors, combining performance monitoring, corrective action planning, and relationship development to drive mutual value and continuous improvement in service delivery.
+ Anticipate and manage supplier-related risks through scenario planning, diversification strategies, and contingency development.
+ Collaborate with ABM legal, risk, and compliance teams to ensure supplier agreements meet all regulatory, insurance, and client-specific requirements.
+ Share best practices and contribute to capability-building across the broader procurement and category management teams.
Qualifications Required
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
+ 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management, preferably within a large, decentralized organization
+ Demonstrated success managing suppliers and executing strategic sourcing initiatives across categories such as HVAC, janitorial, and fire/life safety
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to mine and interpret spend data to drive sourcing decisions and cost savings
+ Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including operations, legal, finance, and risk
+ Experience negotiating complex agreements and managing supplier performance frameworks (SLAs, KPIs, scorecards)
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver results through a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, ensuring objectives are achieved both individually and through team direction
+ Ability to communicate and influence across all levels of the organization, including senior executives and field leadership
+ High level of initiative, accountability, and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
+ Experience in facilities services, building maintenance, or similar field-based service industries
+ Familiarity with e-sourcing, contract lifecycle, or vendor management platforms (e.g., Coupa)
