About the Role:
Responsible for providing credit and administrative oversight to the Commercial Line of Business. Establish best practices for originating new relationships and servicing the lending portfolio. Ensure internal policies and procedures meet the needs of the Line of Business and lead the Business Line’s process improvement initiatives.
+ Responsible for management of the credit program for the Commercial Line of Business, supporting four regions targeting relationships with businesses with revenues greater than $5 million.
+ Responsible for development and implementation of consistent credit programs and processes that result in accurate, timely, and efficient assessment of loan and portfolio risk, and timely actions that address identified risks.
+ Lead and participate in enterprise-wide process improvement endeavors related to the Loan Origination System, Credit Policy and Guidelines, and Business Line Procedures.
+ Coordinate and deliver credit training programs to associates within the Line of Business to produce effective and complete loan application packages to ensure a streamlined application/approval process to maximize efficiency.
+ Facilitate cross-regional communication and collaboration initiatives.
+ Oversees Business Line’s involvement in internal and external audits, providing timely responses and completion of action items identified, and ensures Business Line is meeting compliance requirements.
+ Lead and/ or coordinate efforts with internal (Credit Quality, appraisal, environmental, and legal departments) partners and external service providers to facilitate effective collaboration throughout the credit decision, documentation, and portfolio management processes.
+ Manage associates responsible for implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of Business Line strategies.
+ Ensures credit reporting mechanisms are adequate to meet the needs of the Business Line and provide for proper portfolio oversight.
About You:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related fields, required. Masters preferred.
+ More than 10 years of experience in senior credit approval/commercial lending and/or underwriting, required
+ 7-10 years of supervisory, management or leadership experience, required
+ Significant experience and in-depth knowledge of commercial lending, underwriting, and the finance industry.
+ Advanced knowledge of credit risk factors and ability to appropriately rate credits.
+ Extensive experience with banking regulations, policies, methods of operation, including internal and external audit processes.
+ Proven leadership, organizational, negotiation, decision making, problem solving, and analytical abilities.
+ Significant experience hiring, managing, and developing others. Proven ability to attract, motivate, and retain top talent.
+ Proven ability to drive results in a team oriented, goal driven environment and partner with other leadership to maximize results.
+ Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Possesses strong computer skills including use of the Microsoft Office suite with the ability to learn new business software, as needed.
The pay range for this role is $160,000.00 to $230,000.00
The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
