    Summary This position is located in Delaware District-Wilmington, DE. The selectee of this position serves as a Administrative Officer. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and directing District administrative programs in support of the mission of the United States Marshals Service. Provides a wide variety of administrative services that supports the overall operation of the district. Responsibilities As a Administrative Officer at the GS-0341-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Coordinating financial and budget management, procurement and contracting activities. Reviews and evaluates local administrative policies and procedures for the purpose of making recommendations for and effecting changes. Interpret and implement USMS policies, directives, regulations, policies, and directives impacting administrative operations of the district. Serves as the District's administrative liaison to the United States Marshal and the Chief Deputy or Assistant Chief Deputy on District administrative programs. Plans the work to be accomplished by subordinates, establishes priorities, assigns work, evaluates work performance, provides advice, counsel, and guidance to subordinates. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must pass a pre-employment security investigation and drug screening. May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. Verify Registration here. Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level). Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation eligibility determination. Qualifications GS-13 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). You may qualify at the GS-0341-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Analyzing financial operations for an organization; 2) Utilizing a financial management system such as Unified Financial Management System (UFMS), E2 Solutions (Travel), etc. to perform a variety of financial functions such as projecting budgets, processing obligations etc.; 3) Collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders on administrative activities (i.e., property management, personnel actions, procurement, renovation projects, etc.); and 4) Planning work and setting priorities for employees.
