Position Summary
ANSER is seeking a Senior Public Affairs Specialist to provide strategic communications and public affairs support to JPEO-CBRND, ensuring effective outreach, engagement, and storytelling across digital and traditional platforms. In this role you will support senior-level DoD leadership by developing, managing, and analyzing public affairs products that communicate CBRND research, development, and acquisition efforts to key stakeholders.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
+ Conduct research and interviews to develop short- and long-form written content for multiple publication platforms
+ Draft, edit, and refine public affairs products supporting CBRND research, development, and acquisition programs
+ Develop, manage, and maintain JPEO-CBRND AFPIMS web platforms to ensure effective digital engagement
+ Identify and curate relevant digital media content for sharing across JPEO-CBRND social media and AFPIMS platforms
+ Research emerging digital and social media platforms relevant to DoD communications
+ Develop and implement social media strategies to effectively tell the JPEO-CBRND mission and capability story
+ Create written and multimedia content tailored for varied social media channels
+ Ensure consistent messaging aligned with Army and DoD public affairs guidance
+ Support outreach activities targeting internal and external stakeholders
+ Coordinate public affairs efforts in support of senior executive service–level leadership
+ Conduct monthly analysis of digital media and web performance metrics
+ Optimize content strategies based on performance data and audience engagement trends
+ Support planning, execution, and assessment of public affairs campaigns
+ Ensure compliance with Army public affairs policies and standards
+ Maintain awareness of public affairs best practices supporting acquisition and R&D programs
Required Qualifications
+ Active Secret clearance
+ Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Master’s degree in Communications from an accredited college or university
+ 15 years or more of experience supporting public affairs offices within DoD CBRND organizations
+ 10 or more years of experience supporting senior executive service–level commands at the two-star level or above
+ Expertise in Army public affairs planning, implementation, analysis, and outreach activities
+ Experience supporting DoD research, development, and acquisition programs
Preferred Qualifications
+ Demonstrated ability to develop and manage digital and social media content for government organizations
+ Strong analytical skills to assess digital media performance and optimize engagement strategies

Full Time Salary Range for this position for this position:
$100,000 — $165,000 USD
