Position Summary...
Join a dynamic team dedicated to driving Walmart’s operational and sustainability success through engagement in wholesale energy market operations and policy and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission processes. As the Director, Walmart Energy, you will shape business strategies and regulatory engagements that reduce energy and utility expenses, create opportunities to strengthen the grid, invest in our assets, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and integrity. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure Walmart remains at the forefront of energy and utility innovation and sustainable business practices.
This is an onsite role based in Bentonville, Arkansas; a full relocation package can be made available, we are not considering remote applicants.
What you'll do...
+ Lead and implement regulatory and policy strategies to reduce energy and utility expenses and increase access for clean electric generation in wholesale energy markets
+ Manage regulatory, regional transmission organization, and legislative processes related to wholesale energy markets
+ Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive business goals
+ Ensure compliance with company standards of integrity and ethics
What You’ll Bring…
+ Experience in energy regulation or policy, energy procurement, grid-scale resource development, energy management, or utility cost reduction
+ Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
+ Direct experience in regulatory and legislative processes related to energy and sustainability
+ Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
+ Ability to interpret energy data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement solutions
+ Commitment to integrity, ethics, and fostering an inclusive work environment
+ Experience with community outreach and building external partnerships (preferred)
+ Advanced degree or certifications in law, economics, finance, accounting, energy management, sustainability, or related fields (nice to have)

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field and 5 years’ experience in utility operations or related area OR 7 years’ experience in utility operations or related area.
1 year’s supervisory experience.
