Summary
Freeman is seeking an Audio Specialist who will assist the Audio & Video Services Manager and Production Manager or Account Executive in the selection and design of Audio equipment in response to the needs of our clients, based on budgetary guidelines and accepted technical standards. Lead labor crews and assist with the planning and organization of delivery, setup and dismantle of equipment at show site.
This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week based out of Orlando, FL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Interface with the Sales staff, Account Executives, Production Managers, Department Managers and the Audio & Video Services Manager concerning event production and operational procedures.
+ Create or approve audio designs, equipment pull sheets for projects based upon event budgets, show requirements, client expectations and company standards
+ Lead Audio Engineer, Monitor Engineer, Audio Assist, System Tech, and Equipment Coordinator.
+ Handle the load-in, load-out, install, dismantle, labor direction, system engineering, console and equipment operation and client relations.
+ Work directly with Inventory Control to ensure complete equipment coverage on shows.
+ Coordinate and/or assist both technical and labor crews.
+ Coordinate with Inventory Control to schedule and pull equipment.
+ Oversee the distribution and return logistics of high end audio systems.
+ Assist with inventory control, equipment pulling, loading, tracking and restoring of equipment.
+ Assist Senior Audio Specialist with new equipment builds.
+ Perform general maintenance and upkeep on high-end audio equipment.
Education & Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
+ Minimum two (2) years related experience with a professional sound company or national A/V company.
+ Must have ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, equipment specifications and financial reports.
+ Must have ability to relate and conduct theoretical discussions as applicable to specific technical topics.
+ Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
+ Must have ability to deal with problems quickly and effectively.
+ Must have ability to clearly instruct and demonstrate the set up and operation of high-end audio, video, and lighting equipment.
+ Must have ability to communicate in person or over the phone how to perform various equipment related operation.
