About this role:
As a General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role, you will join a group of four experienced general surgeons and other Advanced Practice Providers in a collaborative environment focused on clinical excellence and exceptional patient experiences. In this role, you’ll provide patient care in a mix of inpatient and clinic settings, serve as first assist in surgical procedures, participate in robotic-assisted and minimally invasive surgeries and support elective general surgery cases.
+ You will practice at McKay Dee Hospital (https://intermountainhealthcare.org/locations/mckay-dee-hospital) a Level II Trauma Center in Ogden, UT
+ Your typical schedule will be Monday–Friday with availability for surgery, clinic, and inpatient care, plus participation in a weekend rounding rotation. Hours and days may vary based on patient care needs, including occasional weekends and holidays
+ New grads may be considered, but prior surgical experience is strongly preferred
What you’ll bring:
+ APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
+ AANP, ANCC or AAPA certification
+ Previous surgical and hospital experience strongly preferred
+ Active, unobstructed Utah license, or the ability to obtain one
+ BLS, ACLS certification and DEA
+ Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

Life in Ogden, UT
Ogden is a city of Weber County, 40 miles north of Salt Lake City, that is the perfect place to work and live if you like easy access to outdoor activities. Ogden is located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains and is within a day’s drive of five national parks. Ogden boasts of its breathtaking mountain views and access to skiing/snowboarding (9 resorts within 60-75 min drive, including Snowbasin - site of the 2002 Olympic Downhill). There is no lack of summer activities either with several water recreational locations close by, Pineview Reservoir, Willard Bay, Ogden River Parkway, and only 10 miles from the Great Salt Lake. Within minutes of leaving McKay Dee Hospital, you can find yourself mountain biking, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and rock climbing. There are outdoor activities for all ages, affordable real estate, and our family-oriented community supports diverse interests for all cultures. Ogden is home to Weber State University.
