    The Opportunity:

    Join the United States Capitol Police (USCP) as a Senior Tier II Computer Specialist and play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our cutting-edge technology infrastructure. This position offers a unique chance to support the important work of the USCP while advancing your career in IT support and management.

    Position is onsite

    0600 - 1800 Hours - Shift work! Travel is involved.

    Responsibilities:

    + Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and tablet systems across the USCP's distributed computer environment

    + Install and configure hardware, software, and peripherals for networked and stand-alone environments

    + Provide expert technical support and guidance to USCP users on various computer systems and software

    + Manage the lifecycle of computer equipment, including preparation for reuse, refresh as part of the Capital Equipment Refresh Program (CERP), and proper disposal

    + Administer and test standardized hardware, software, and network configurations

    + Coordinate equipment relocation during office moves

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    + Must be an US Citizen and pass OBIC Criminal Check

    + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)

    + 5+ years of experience in a similar IT support role

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, and Exchange/Outlook

    + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hardware and software issues

    + Experience with trouble-ticketing systems

    + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

    Desired:

    + Experience supporting local and wide area networks

    + Familiarity with mobile platforms and tablet devices

    + Knowledge of IT asset management practices

    + Experience providing remote technical support

    The proposed salary range for this position is:

    $70,800 - $148,600
