Responsibilities

Assist licensed anesthesia provider with duties related to the care and monitoring of patients and equipment.

+ Clean, sterilize and set up all anesthesia equipment.

+ Assist anesthesia provider with patient assessment, monitoring, transport, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management.

+ Provide daily maintenance of equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions.

+ Maintain an adequate inventory of necessary equipment and supplies.

+ Assist in the preparation of scheduled, emergent and urgent surgical procedures involving anesthesia care providers by ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are available, in working order & in proper location

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ Anesthesia Tech specializing in Anesthesia credentialed from the American Society of AnesthesiaTechnicians/Technologists (ASATT) preferred.

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

Ideal candidate would have previous experience as an anesthesia technician or EMT/paramedic.
