As an AEMT, you'll provide emergency medical care, including administering certain medications, advanced airway management, and monitoring patients, before and during transport to a hospital. What You'll Do

The Advanced EMT provides high quality patient care and safe medical transport to sick and injured patients in all age groups, primarily in a non-emergent setting. Patient care will be consistent with approved treatment protocols. The Advanced EMT communicates and coordinates the patient’s care in an interdisciplinary model.

What We're Looking For

+ Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Successful completion of an approved Advanced EMT program (EMT-Intermediate prior to 2017), required.

+ Experience: Minimum of one-year experience with a paid emergency services provider, preferred. Two years licensed driving experience, required.

+ Licensure/Certification: Current North Carolina Advanced EMT (EMT-Intermediate prior to 2017), required. BCLS, required. ACLS, PALS and ITLS or PHTLS, preferred.

+ Additional Skills (required):

+ Current and valid driver’s license required and must meet the requirements of the medical center’s insurance carrier.

+ Must meet general hospital driving requirements.

+ Annual EVO education is required to drive during emergency situations.

+ Must be 19 years of age with zero points on driving record.
