What You Will Do:
The Automated Manufacturing Systems team within Operational Excellence is looking for a leader of Pratt & Whitney's i.40 Lighthouse and ARC Council. In this role you will be leading the effort to modernize our factories digital footprint in support of CORE maturation by way of the RTX Lighthouse initiative. This initiative is in the early stages of deployment. Staring with a single site in 2025 and expanding to 3 additional sites in 2026 with the ultimate goal of all sites reaching the same CORE maturity and digital capabilities. The role also includes the management of the ARC Council. This council has been formed to coordinate all Pratt & Whitney sites for Automation, Robotics and Connectivity efforts. In this role you will be supported by the technical teams residing in Connected Factory and Integrated Manufacturing Systems. This council is closely aligned to the RTX i4.0 initiatives but encompass all of Pratt and Whitney's efforts on these topics into a single forum. Projects, standards, capabilities, tools, applications and methods are shared across all of Pratt & Whitney sites. This effort is to maximize efficiency, share lessons learned and best practices, thus enabling speed to execution.
This role is key to Pratt & Whitney’s operational transformation. Directly impacting safety, quality, delivery and cost. It will have direct linkage to pervasive lean, process control, automation, new technologies, and connected manufacturing. This will enable our Operations team to deliver on the Operational Excellence (OpX) vision across not only Pratt & Whitney but RTX via direct linkage of the lighthouse efforts.
What You Will Do:
+ In this role you will lead the RTX Lighthouse authoring and deployment with a cross functional team including digital technology, CORE leads, site operations and the RTX i4.0 team.
+ Socialize and share the ideation, development & execution of standard digital products.
+ Ensuring all factories are informed of initiatives and available capabilities.
+ Manage initiatives as flowed down via goal alignment by RTX and Pratt & Whitney leadership as related to i4.0.
+ Ensure robust project plans are in place to execute the lighthouse vision.
+ Plan and manage resources and budget.
+ Ensure proper documentation is maintained and accessible by contributors and customers alike. IE Leaders Standard work as process maturity increases.
+ Aid in the training and proficiency levels as defined by CORE.
+ Work closely with Shop Operations & Facility Management to implement the standardized products.
+ Coordinate technical expertise required for problem resolution for current and future projects for Lighthouse sites.
+ Communicating at all levels within RTX and Pratt & Whitney, as well as externally, tapping technical resources, forming teams and consulting with programs.
+ Meeting all Environmental Health & Safety and Preventative Maintenance requirements associated with manufacturing development.

+ Define a Vision, a roadmap, and a deployment strategy for advancing our lighthouse efforts
+ Work directly with Module Center/Engine Center leadership enabling organizations to identify and prioritize lighthouse targets.
+ Work with Digital Technology counterparts to develop potential solutions
+ Develop business cases and submit Capital Appropriation Requests. Assist with capital procurement.
+ Provide an of understanding of our products & standards at all levels of the organization and the subject matter experts who own them.
+ Communicate with business partners both local, remote, internally, and externally.
+ Foster open communications with team members to promote a positive work environment.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams, across various facilities with conflicting needs/priorities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Industrial electrical engineering, Computer/Software engineering, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline and minimum 12 years’ experience in automated systems in manufacturing environments, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience.
+ Technical proficiency in Complex Manufacturing activities.
+ Knowledge of Digital thread, IioT, MBDMI, NC programming, PLM, CAM, NX, Team Center, Solumina G7, SAP and related systems.
+ 20% travel required.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ MS Office Suite, Power Bi, Ignition! SQL, Kepware, SAP, MES, Digital Twin.
+ Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly in production environments.
+ Extensive experience with controls hardware design utilizing a broad range of components and architectures.
+ Understanding of layered network architecture.
+ Understanding of power and communication distribution best practices.
+ Experience with system software / PLC code development, HMI screen development.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
