Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is currently looking for an Interior Designer to join our Commercial Interior Design team in Philadelphia, PA! Our success is built around listening to our clients and collaborating with them to achieve an environment that fosters creativity, comfort, efficiency and flexibility. Our interior designers go beyond the observed finishes and furniture to create innovative solutions by reviewing every component within a building’s interior. Then, we execute a successful design by taking an objective look at your organization and observing how you work and function within that space.
Our next Interior Designer will work collaboratively to design and create schematics and concepts that meet programming requirements and health and safety codes. This individual will also create construction drawing sets and create presentation materials.
Responsibilities
+ The position requires interior designing as it relates to the programming, design, and construction documentation of retail/hospitality/workplace and other commercial interiors projects.
+ Create presentation materials such as finish concepts and renderings.
+ The Interior Designer will also assist in site visits, attend manufacturer representative meetings on behalf of the company, and maintain our department library and samples.
+ The ideal candidate would be open to meeting with clients, consultants, and other in-house individuals and leaders to understand and meet the client's goals and requirements for the interior of building projects.
+ Establish & maintain positive relationships with co-workers, support and build others on the team and across disciplines/offices.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree (preferably in Interior Design) and 3+ years of professional commercial design experience.
+ Certified Interior Designer (NCIDQ) and/or AIA licensure in the state of Pennsylvania required.
+ Prior experience in Revit is required.
+ AutoCAD, Adobe Creative, and SketchUp experience is a plus.
+ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to effectively work well with all employees and managers.
+ A willingness to learn.
+ Strong technology skills, particularly with Revit.
+ Able to work closely with others.
+ Willing to Travel.
+ Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
