Our client, a leading organization in the logistics and transportation industry, is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher to join their team. As a Transportation Dispatcher, you will be part of the Centralized Transportation Dispatch department supporting the logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have dependability, strong communication skills, and organizational abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Transportation Dispatcher

**Location:** AUSTIN, MN

Pay Range: $21.50/hour

**Shift:** Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (standard work hours – 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm). Work from home on Fridays after training and trust is established.

What's the Job?

+ Serve as dispatch operations liaison between the enterprise and motor carrier partners.

+ Coordinate freight transportation based on ship location and delivery requirements.

+ Analyze order details such as quantity, destination, weight, and product type to optimize transportation efficiency.

+ Source carriers based on cost, reliability, equipment availability, and past performance.

+ Create solutions to ensure on-time delivery to customers and distribution networks, including working overtime and weekend rotations as needed.

What's Needed?

+ Demonstrated dependability and transactional customer service experience.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn custom computer programs.

+ Ability to multitask accurately and initiate appropriate actions independently.

+ Experience with transportation management systems (preferred) and proficiency in order processing systems.
