Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Area Maintenance-Cranes (Day Shift) position is primarily, but not limited to, performing the following functions within the assigned area:

+ Resolve ongoing equipment safety & reliability challenges

+ Identify and implement improvements to equipment and processes to reduce costs

+ Plan, prepare, & execute down-day & outage work

+ Support the shift team with maintaining daily operations

+ Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities

+ Be a Subject Matter Expert on area equipment

+ Ensure adequate sparing

+ Provide effective communication to both the Maintenance & Production team

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Mechanical and/or Electrical industrial maintenance experience.

+ Must demonstrate high personal initiative and drive.

+ Manager and Supervisor recommendation.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Prior Steel Mill Experience

+ Prior mechanical and/or electrical experience within heavy industry

+ Prior experience with Overhead runway or similar cranes.
