Production Associate – Eyewear Manufacturing

Major Duties & Responsibilities

As a **Production Associate** , you’ll begin in one primary area with opportunities for **cross-training** in the future.

Coating Department

You may work as:

+ **Clipper:** Secure lenses into baskets to start the coating process

+ **Machine Operator:** Prepare and operate coating machines, including:

+ Loading chemicals

+ Loading/unloading lenses

+ **Inspector:** Ensure lenses meet optical and cosmetic quality standards

Finishing Department

You may work as:

+ **Beveler:** Remove sharp edges from lenses

+ **Mounter:** Insert lenses into frames, ensuring proper fit and alignment

+ **Edger Operator:** Use edging machines to cut lenses to precise size and shape

+ **Finish Layout Preparer:** Prepare lenses for edging by marking and blocking

+ **Tinter:** Accurately tint lenses

+ **Inspector:** Verify lenses and frames meet quality requirements

Surfacing Department

You may work as:

+ **Surfacing Blocker:** Secure blocks to lenses and apply protective tape

+ **Surface Finer/Polisher:** Operate equipment to fine and polish lenses

+ **Lens Washer:** Hand wash, dry, and inspect lenses; remove blocks and tape

Basic Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

+ **High School Diploma or GED**

+ Strong mechanical aptitude

+ **1+ years of related manufacturing experience** (lab experience preferred but not required)

+ Ability to meet production and quality standards

+ Good depth perception and manual dexterity

+ Strong communication and organizational skills

+ High attention to detail

Important Job Requirements

+ Ability to **stand and walk for the entire shift**

+ Comfortable working around **chemicals**

+ Work environment may be **wet, dirty, or have strong odors**

+ Willingness to work **overtime as needed**

**Pay Details:** $16.74 per hour
