Director of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – RN
**Location:** Fort Worth, TX
**Schedule:** Full-time | Day Shift
**Compensation:** $95,000 – $142,000 annually (based on RN leadership experience)
**Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance:** Available on a case-by-case basis
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced **Director of Progressive Care (RN)** to provide strategic and operational leadership for a Progressive Care Unit within a large, acute-care hospital environment. This role carries 24-hour accountability for department operations and partners closely with executive nursing leadership to ensure high-quality patient care, strong clinical outcomes, and financial stewardship.
The Director will lead a multidisciplinary team, promote a culture of safety and service excellence, and drive continuous performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Patient Safety
+ Ensure compliance with departmental policies, hospital standards, and regulatory requirements
+ Promote a culture of patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice
+ Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes and patient care delivery
Service Excellence
+ Champion patient- and family-centered care initiatives
+ Foster clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, physicians, and staff
+ Support service excellence practices that enhance the overall patient experience
Leadership & People Development
+ Lead, mentor, and develop nursing leadership and staff
+ Support onboarding, education, and professional development initiatives
+ Promote collaboration, accountability, and engagement across teams
Operations & Finance
+ Maintain responsibility for operational efficiency and budget performance
+ Monitor staffing, resource utilization, and cost-effectiveness
+ Participate in strategic planning and capital budget initiatives
Growth & Performance Improvement
+ Identify opportunities for operational and clinical improvement
+ Support organizational growth initiatives and quality goals
+ Maintain ongoing professional development and leadership growth
Qualifications
+ Minimum 2 years of recent Acute Care PCU leadership experience required
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
+ Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
+ Active Texas RN license or Compact State license (with Texas as primary state)
+ BLS required
+ ACLS required
+ Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

**Pay Details:** $95,000.00 to $142,000.00 per year
