Description We are looking for an experienced Divisional/Plant Controller to join our team in Meadville, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and driving efficiency within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise in cost accounting, financial reporting, and leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the plant achieves its strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial operations of the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing processes.

• Lead and optimize cost accounting procedures to ensure accurate product costing and operational efficiency.

• Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with the Plant Manager and operations team to provide financial insights that support cost savings and operational improvements.

• Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports to plant and corporate leadership.

• Monitor plant performance against budget and propose strategic solutions to address gaps and opportunities.

• Evaluate and provide financial analysis for capital investment projects to support sound decision-making.

• Supervise and guide a small team within the accounting and finance department, fostering growth and development.

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.

• Oversee inventory management activities, including cycle counts, to ensure accurate reporting and control. Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close processes within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and product costing.

• Expertise in financial reporting and analysis.

• Solid understanding of controllership responsibilities and internal controls.

• Ability to develop and present financial insights to leadership teams.

• Skilled in supervising and mentoring finance professionals.

• Proficient in managing inventory-related financial activities.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
