Description We are looking for a dedicated Healthcare Call Center Representative to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a positive experience for patients by managing a high volume of calls with efficiency and compassion. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to incoming calls promptly, ensuring each caller is treated with care and respect.
• Accurately route calls to the appropriate departments or individuals based on the caller's needs.
• Monitor and respond to emergency codes, alarms, and life safety events, ensuring swift and effective action.
• Make emergency announcements while adhering to established protocols and maintaining composure.
• Utilize telecommunications systems and software proficiently to manage call operations effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate cultural sensitivity when communicating with diverse patient populations.
• Ensure proper use of communication tools to facilitate understanding and collaboration within the healthcare environment.
• Handle high call volumes, averaging 300+ calls per shift, while maintaining a positive and detail-oriented attitude.
• Escalate issues or concerns when necessary to ensure patient safety and satisfaction. Requirements • Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a call center setting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to listen, assess, and address caller needs effectively.
• Proficiency in managing multi-line switchboards and other telecommunications systems.
• Familiarity with call center operations and best practices.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, particularly during emergencies.
• Previous experience in the healthcare industry is preferred but not required.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
