Description

We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is a short-term contract position with the potential for long-term employment, where you will play an integral role in managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in all bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with QuickBooks and a strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently and in a timely manner.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial data aligns with account balances.

• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and track financial data effectively.

• Prepare financial reports and summaries as needed to support decision-making.

• Monitor and resolve any discrepancies in financial records or transactions.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

• Keep up-to-date with bookkeeping best practices and compliance requirements.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience with a focus on detail.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant bookkeeping software.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Demonstrated ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

• Familiarity with compliance standards and financial regulations.
