Description We are looking for a dedicated Paralegal to join our team in Houston, Texas. This long-term contract role involves providing critical support to attorneys in a commercial litigation and personal injury defense firm. The position is entirely office-based, offering an excellent opportunity to work on diverse legal cases and contribute to a high-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and organize legal calendars, ensuring deadlines and important dates are accurately tracked.

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials by gathering and reviewing necessary documents and evidence.

• Handle e-filing tasks for both state and federal cases, ensuring compliance with filing procedures.

• Conduct thorough discovery and document review using specialized discovery platforms.

• Maintain and manage case files using NetDocuments or similar case management software.

• Provide support to multiple attorneys on a variety of legal cases, ensuring seamless workflow and communication.

• Monitor and manage a docket with approximately 40 active cases.

• Collaborate with attorneys to draft and prepare legal documents for ongoing cases.

• Ensure smooth document management processes while adhering to legal standards. Requirements • Proven experience in civil litigation and trial preparation.

• Strong knowledge of e-filing procedures for state and federal courts.

• Proficiency in discovery tools and platforms.

• Familiarity with case management software, such as NetDocuments.

• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.

• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with attorneys and other legal professionals.
