Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a short-term contract basis. This fully remote role will provide coverage during a medical leave, offering a unique opportunity to utilize your expertise in payroll and general ledger accounting. The ideal candidate will excel in NetSuite, advanced Excel functions, and nationwide searches are welcome for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and record financial transactions within accounting systems, adhering to company policies and procedures.

• Oversee payroll accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.

• Perform bank reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and month-end/year-end account reconciliations.

• Maintain general ledger accounts and conduct flux analysis to ensure accurate reporting.

• Prepare detailed audit schedules and support financial audit requirements.

• Review and enhance internal controls and accounting processes to streamline operations.

• Analyze financial records and prepare reports that support business decision-making.

• Assist in audit planning and execution to ensure compliance and smooth workflows.

• Research and resolve discrepancies in financial data, ensuring accuracy in all documentation.

• Take on additional accounting duties as assigned to meet organizational needs. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible accounting experience.

• Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Word.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and GAAP standards.

• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise reporting.
