Are you ready to play a pivotal role in safeguarding our corporate infrastructure from evolving cyber threats? Our team in Salem, Oregon is searching for a skilled Security Network Engineer who thrives on tackling complex security challenges and implementing innovative network solutions. In this position, you’ll be the expert driving the implementation, maintenance, and integration of industry-leading security measures, helping us stay one step ahead of potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, implement, and maintain network security hardware and software to protect corporate assets.

+ Manage perimeter defense systems, including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention solutions.

+ Lead thorough analyses of network security needs and contribute to integrating new technologies.

+ Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, developing preventive solutions to avoid recurrence.

+ Enforce network security policies and ensure compliance with external audit recommendations.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate security policies and procedures into technical solutions.

+ Continuously monitor and optimize network security system performance.

+ Perform regular updates and maintenance on Cisco routers, ASA devices, and Palo Alto firewalls.

+ Configure and administer Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) to enhance network routing and security.

+ Document security processes and recommend enhancements for ongoing improvement.

Requirements

+ At least five years of hands-on experience in network security engineering.

+ Proven expertise in managing Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco routers.

+ In-depth understanding of network security protocols, including Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).

+ Practical experience with Cisco ASA devices and a broad range of security technologies.

+ Skilled in diagnosing and resolving complex network issues.

+ Experience with creating, implementing, and enforcing security policies.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

+ Relevant professional certifications such as those from Cisco or other recognized security organizations are highly preferred.
