Job Title: Industrial Engineer (2nd Shift)Job Description
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing integrated production and service delivery systems. These systems ensure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control within the production site. The role focuses on profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles.
Responsibilities
+ Participate as a project team member in implementing projects that eliminate waste through standard Industrial Engineering processes. This includes Capital Equipment Requests, Capabilities Studies, Plant Layouts, Tool Design, and Standard Work.
+ Develop time standards for process steps to be used in the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB).
+ Gather and analyze Industrial Engineering metrics for assigned customer or area.
+ Coordinate layout and facility moves for assigned customer or areas.
+ Collect, analyze, and review IEDB data to ensure accuracy and compliance with the standard process.
+ Monitor the SAP and Manufacturing Execution System configurations and ensure compliance with standardized system configurations.
+ Gather and develop data for quotes.
+ Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Industrial Engineering team.
+ Support and maintain all lower-level Industrial Engineering duties and responsibilities.
+ Ensure the standardization of processes throughout the site in accordance with global, regional, and site direction.
+ Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement.
+ Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in time studies with a focus on the Product Process Time Database.
+ Proficiency in layouts and a data-focused approach.
+ Strong analytical ability.
+ Understanding and application of a broad range of industrial engineering tools, such as work measurement, process mapping, facilities, and workstation design.
+ Experience with Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.
+ Proven record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing, and managing continuous improvements and cost reduction programs.
+ Strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with mechanical assembly, kitting, and kanban.
Work Environment
This position operates in a climate-controlled clean environment on the 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11:30 PM. The dress code requires composite toe or steel toe shoes with rubber soles, jeans or work pants, and a t-shirt or polo. Large dangling jewelry, spandex, and exposed midriffs are not permitted. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
