    Job Title: Safety Specialist

    Job Description

    The Safety Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive safety plans tailored to site-specific needs. This role requires the creation of safety programs that align with OSHA, FDA, and pharmaceutical industry standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and implement site-specific safety programs.

    + Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards related to chemical handling, cleanroom construction, and specialized equipment installation.

    + Monitor compliance to ensure contractors and subcontractors follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards.

    + Conduct site inspections to audit construction areas for unsafe practices, equipment misuse, or environmental risks.

    + Investigate incidents by leading root-cause analysis of accidents, near-misses, or safety violations, and recommend corrective actions.

    + Coordinate training programs and deliver safety training sessions on topics such as hazardous materials, confined spaces, and emergency response.

    + Manage documentation by maintaining accurate records of safety audits, permits, incident reports, and compliance certifications.

    + Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, project managers, and quality assurance teams, to integrate safety into all phases of construction.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in safety protocols and standards, including OSHA and FDA regulations.

    + Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement safety plans.

    + Experience in monitoring compliance and conducting site inspections.

    + Skill in investigating incidents and performing root-cause analysis.

    + Capability to coordinate and deliver safety training programs.

    + Strong documentation management skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor's degree in Safety.

    + 0-2 years of experience working as a safety specialist in a construction company.

    + OSHA 30 certification.

    Work Environment

    The position is based at a Microsoft Data Center in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin. The first month will be spent working out of the office in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. The role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the booming data center industry.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00/hr.
