Position Description:
CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.

This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer (Developer V) to design, develop, and implement enterprise-level Salesforce applications that support complex business requirements. This role involves system-level analysis, architecture, development, and unit testing, as well as resolving defects identified throughout the testing lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce platform expertise, strong integration experience, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
. Analyze highly complex business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
. Design, develop, test, and implement enterprise-level Salesforce solutions using industry best practices.
. Perform system-level application development, including unit testing and defect resolution across testing cycles.
. Serve as a senior technical resource for solution modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts.
. Design and implement integrations using Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk) and third-party systems.
. Ensure solutions meet quality, security, and compliance standards.
. Conduct and participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
. Support CI/CD pipelines and Agile development processes.
. Thrive in an evolving environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
. Collaborate effectively across multiple projects while maintaining high standards for documentation, testing, and code quality.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 10+ years of overall development experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development.
. Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC)
. SOQL/SOSL
. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and UI frameworks
. Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, including governor limits, security, and platform best practices.
. Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems using REST, SOAP, and Bulk APIs.
. Hands-on experience designing and delivering large-scale, end-to-end enterprise solutions.
. Experience working in Agile/Scrum and iterative SDLC environments.
. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and development utilities such as Git, Jenkins, Salesforce DX, and Visualforce tools.
. Proficiency in at least one additional backend language or environment (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js).
. Experience working within complex Salesforce environments and managing multiple concurrent projects.
. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
. Proven ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.
. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on clean code, thorough testing, documentation, and high test coverage.
. Positive, adaptable mindset with the ability to adjust quickly to change.
Preferred Certifications:
. Salesforce Platform Developer I & II
. Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect
. Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer
. Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I (especially for LWC-heavy work)
Salesforce Administration Knowledge:
. Configuration and standard Salesforce data model
. Security model and access controls
. Automation tools including validation rules, workflows, and process flows
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $95,800.00 - $154,300.00.
