The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in our clinical team, ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based care to our patients. This position involves providing exceptional support to both clinicians and patients, with the ability to anticipate their needs.

Responsibilities

+ Monitor, document, and communicate patients’ vital statistics and measurements.

+ Observe and note any physical or emotional changes in patients.

+ Prepare examination rooms for patient visits.

+ Select, prepare, and manage medical supplies and equipment.

+ Ensure the patient environment is comfortable, organized, safe, and hygienic.

+ Maintain accurate records of patient information.

+ Prepare patients for follow-up care post-treatment.

+ Guide and educate other LPNs as needed.

+ Serve as a knowledgeable resource on nursing-related issues.

+ Organize and manage scheduling for patients and necessary medical tests.

Essential Skills

+ Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, multi-specialty medical settings.

+ LPN License in the state of New York.

+ Reliability and attendance.

+ Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

+ 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting.

+ Knowledge of patient demographics and patient information management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years of LPN experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, non-exempt position within the Urology department. The primary location is in Poughkeepsie, NY, with occasional travel to Kingston and New Windsor locations. The role involves working Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, or four 10-hour shifts per week with varying days off. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
