    We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a willingness to learn everything required to excel as an estimator. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to develop their career in construction management, focusing on commercial construction projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents.

    + Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment.

    + Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.

    + Support the preparation of detailed cost estimates and bid proposals.

    + Maintain organized records of estimates, pricing, and vendor communications.

    + Collaborate with project managers and estimators to ensure accuracy and completeness.

    + Learn and apply company standards, estimating software, and best practices.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    + Strong analytical and math skills with attention to detail.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating software is a plus.

    + Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    + Eagerness to learn and grow within the construction industry.

    + Basic understanding of construction management and commercial construction.

    + Keen interest in estimation and bidding processes.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Prior experience in estimation is beneficial but not required.

    Work Environment

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Vernon, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $32.69 - $33.65/hr.
