We are seeking a Transportation Design Civil Engineer to support major roadway, highway, and city infrastructure projects throughout New York City. This role focuses on transportation engineering—including roadway geometry, highway design, grading and drainage, utility coordination, work-zone traffic control, and green infrastructure. You’ll work with cutting-edge tools like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads to bring designs to life.

What You’ll Do

+ Execute transportation design tasks: roadway/highway geometry, grading, drainage, utility design, and green infrastructure.

+ Develop detailed design plans, profiles, cross-sections, and technical documentation using industry-standard software.

+ Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents.

+ Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept through final design.

+ Ensure compliance with NYCDOT, NYCDDC, and applicable transportation standards.

What We’re Looking For

+ Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

+ Experience: 5+ years on NYCDOT and NYCDDC transportation projects.

+ Technical Skills:

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and familiarity with InRoads/OpenRoads.

+ Strong background in roadway/highway design and transportation engineering.

+ Certifications: EIT required; PE preferred.

+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

+ Demonstrated experience preparing plans for civil and highway projects.

+ Deep understanding of NYC transportation standards and regulations.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
