We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will execute drawing updates based on redlines, manage release workflows, and perform CAD modeling of mechanical assemblies. Your expertise will contribute to the creation and release of detailed manufacturing drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability. You will rapidly iterate on designs, incorporating feedback and resolving issues through hands-on problem-solving.
Responsibilities
+ Execute drawing updates based on redlines and manage release workflows.
+ Perform CAD modeling of mechanical assemblies, including components such as engine parts and tube routing for launch vehicles.
+ Create and release detailed manufacturing drawings.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
+ Rapidly iterate on designs, incorporating feedback and resolving issues through hands-on problem-solving.
Essential Skills
+ 5-10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
+ Proficiency in mechanical design using software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD (NX preferred).
+ Experience in industries such as aerospace, maritime, automotive, avionics, or oil and gas.
+ Ability to design complex products with space and mass constraints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Candidates with hobbies involving fixing, building, or understanding how things work are highly desirable.
Work Environment
This position is in a fast-paced environment and requires full-time onsite work. You will split your time between Cedar Park and Briggs locations in Texas. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Park, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
