Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Job Description
The Quality Control Technician will support production with food safety and quality-related tasks, coaching employees on GMP, HACCP, food safety, and food quality standards. The role involves participating in process auditory meetings, managing vendor complaints, and handling non-conforming products. Additionally, the technician will maintain and improve HACCP and production records, calibrate equipment, conduct sensory evaluations, and perform swab testing on production surfaces. The position requires implementing USDA, FDA, and relevant international regulatory and customer compliance requirements, as well as engaging in project work and internal quality audits.
Responsibilities
+ Coach employees on GMP, HACCP, food safety, and food quality standards.
+ Participate in process auditory meetings.
+ File and follow up on vendor complaints.
+ Manage and contain non-conforming products.
+ Maintain and improve HACCP and production records.
+ Calibrate equipment to ensure food safety and product quality.
+ Conduct sensory evaluation of products and ingredients.
+ Conduct swab testing on production surfaces.
+ Perform swabs for APC, Charm, and EB.
+ Implement USDA, FDA, and relevant international regulatory and customer compliance requirements.
+ Inspect labels and packaging.
+ Complete long-term project improvement work.
+ Participate in internal quality audits.
Qualifications
+ Bachelors Degree in a Scientific Discipline

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sycamore, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
