    Job Title: Process/Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

     

    Support, troubleshoot, and analyze custom automation equipment for the high-volume manufacture of medical devices. Provide technical, engineering, and documentation support. As a consultant in Manufacturing Engineering, you will provide technical and engineering support to implement a new high-speed, automated medical device assembly line. This is a significant investment in our site and is critical to achieving our business goals.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot and analyze the new assembly line.

    + Support the development of the process FMEA and control plan for the new assembly process.

    + Develop appropriate supporting documentation, SOPs, and work instructions compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

    + Collaborate with product and manufacturing engineering, equipment vendors, maintenance technicians, and operations leadership to troubleshoot process and equipment issues.

    + Support line performance monitoring and lead practical problem-solving (PPS) projects to remediate systemic issues.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with continuous improvement, GMP, process improvement, production support, troubleshooting, and validation.

    + Demonstrated experience writing and executing validations (IQ, OQ, PQ, etc.).

    + High-speed/high-volume custom automation experience, preferably in medical device or automotive industries.

    + Skill in troubleshooting automation equipment and implementing process improvements.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + B.S. in Engineering or a related field required.

    + 2-5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

    + Demonstrated interest and experience in supporting manufacturing operations, troubleshooting automation equipment, and implementing process improvements.

    + Problem solver mentality.

    + Medical device industry experience preferred.

    + Excellent interpersonal communication, collaborative teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

    Work Environment

    The role is based in a large manufacturing facility. You will spend most of your time on the production floor working with automation equipment. The position offers growth potential and could potentially lead to a full-time role.

    This is a Contract position based out of Algonquin, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $44.00/hr.
