    Quality Assurance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our manufacturing processes, particularly in the inspection of finished products and completion of necessary documentation.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform inspections of finished products and complete all necessary paperwork.

    + Review and complete processing verification checks, and evaluate finished goods and work in progress.

    + Conduct routine floor audits of production and packaging areas to confirm correct product composition, specification, storage, packaging, labeling, and coding.

    + Assist in completion of compliance checks for production runs using either paper or electronic records.

    + Monitor facility activities with daily inspections, complete pre-operational swabbing, and maintain quality program records.

    + Report quality-related failures or potential food safety issues to the quality manager and department managers.

    + Assist QA Assistant Manager with execution of sales and customer sample request programs.

    + Initiate 'hold product' procedures for products manufactured out of specification.

    + Initiate 'defective material reports' for products not able to be used supplied by vendors.

    + Maintain and inspect retain samples for product quality issues.

    + Execute environmental monitoring, product testing, chemical testing, and glass inspections.

    + Complete data entry for laboratory and production results.

     

    Required Skills & Qualifications

     

    + High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.

    + Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

    + Experience with Deacom, RedZone, or other ERP systems is advantageous.

    + Experience in quality assurance and food manufacturing.

    + Knowledge of GMP, audit procedures, and food safety standards.

    + Proficiency in batch record review and quality checks.

    Work Environment

    The role is set in a manufacturing floor environment, involving movement between mixing/blending rooms and the production floor. The majority of the shift will be spent on foot, with noise levels that can be moderate. The position requires the ability to lift over 20lbs. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6am-2:30pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
