Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Support Specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will:
+ Respond to calls and requests from providers, members, and member representatives regarding pharmacy prior authorizations, exceptions, and appeals.
+ Enter authorizations and test claims into the pharmacy benefit system to ensure accurate claim adjudication.
+ Perform system edits, data entry, and maintain tracking logs.
+ Assist with departmental audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
+ PTCB certification

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
+ Proven decision-making and problem-solving abilities
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Knowledge of medical terminology
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
