Electrical Design Engineer
This position focuses on electrical design tasks, particularly during the transition of electronic components to modern standards. Over time, responsibilities will expand to include system integration, troubleshooting, and implementing design modifications.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for various applications.
+ Create and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
+ Perform design work in areas such as:
+ Avionics design
+ Power distribution systems
+ Hardware and transformer design
+ Select and recommend electrical design tools for long-term company use.
+ Conduct feasibility studies and prepare cost estimates for proposed projects.
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems and components.
+ Stay current with technological advancements and integrate them into existing and new systems.
+ Prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
+ Design, develop, implement, verify, and test systems such as Aerostat, Avionics, Mooring Systems, and Ground Systems.
+ Participate in design reviews and technical interchange meetings to guide development activities.
+ Analyze information and evaluate results to select optimal solutions for design requirements.
+ Support production, testing, and field operations to improve designs.
+ Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and validate system and component performance.
+ Document engineering drawings, standards, specifications, technical proposals, manuals, and disclosures.
Required Skills:
+ Electrical design expertise
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical schematics
+ Knowledge of DoD standards, airborne systems, radar, and EMI considerations
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Akron, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $67.31/hr.
