Job Title: Machine Design EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with over two years of custom machine design experience. The ideal candidate will excel in creating custom designs using Solidworks according to customer specifications. You will spend 80-90% of your day designing and 10-20% assisting other teams in bringing these designs to life. Projects typically last 3-6 weeks, and you will apply practical engineering principles, procedures, materials, and equipment throughout.
Responsibilities
+ Design custom machines using Solidworks per customer specifications.
+ Collaborate with other teams to bring designs to life.
+ Apply engineering principles, procedures, materials, and equipment to design projects.
+ Utilize 2D and 3D CAD tools effectively.
+ Manage projects and tasks using PDM and ERP systems.
+ Handle engineering change orders and maintain bill of materials.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Solidworks and Autocad for machine design.
+ Experienced in the practical application of engineering principles.
+ Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD tools.
+ Familiarity with PDM and ERP systems.
+ Ability to manage projects and apply GD&T.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a minimum of five years of relevant experience in machine design, metal forming, or tool & die design.
+ Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Canton, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $48.08/hr.
