Description

We are looking for a part-time (15-30 hours per week) Bookkeeper to join our team in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana. This role requires expertise in QuickBooks and a solid grasp of accounting principles to ensure accurate financial management and reporting. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining organized records, assisting with tax compliance, and supporting financial decision-making through precise bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Record financial transactions promptly and accurately in QuickBooks.

• Prepare and update financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

• Assist with sales tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

• Support the preparation of individual tax returns (Form 1040) with accuracy and efficiency.

• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to maintain financial accuracy.

• Organize and maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions.

• Collaborate with accountants and tax professionals to ensure the accuracy of reports and filings.

• Address client inquiries regarding bookkeeping and tax-related matters with attention to detail.

Requirements

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software is required.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Experience with sales tax reporting and individual tax return preparation (Form 1040).

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

• Excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented approach.

• Previous experience in an accounting or tax firm is preferred.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
