Machine Operator – Join a Fast‑Growing Team!
**We’re looking for reliable and skilled Extrusion Machine Operators** to support our expanding HVAC component manufacturing operations. In this role, you will help produce high‑quality polypropylene vent system components by setting up, operating, and inspecting extrusion equipment. What You’ll Do
+ Operate extrusion lines to produce components according to production specifications
+ Communicate production rates, machine status, and issues during shift handoffs
+ Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
+ Inspect extruded parts for defects, dimensional accuracy, and overall quality
+ Record production data, including counts, scrap, and machine settings
+ Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
+ Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement
+ Distribute work orders and provide workflow support as needed
What You Bring
Essential Skills
+ 1+ year of experience operating extrusion machines (plastic extrusion preferred)
+ Ability to perform machine setup and troubleshoot basic operational issues
+ Ability to read a tape measure accurately
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
+ Willingness to work **12-hour shifts on a 3/4 rotation schedule**
Preferred Skills
+ Direct extrusion machine operation experience
+ Prior manufacturing or assembly experience (preferred, not required)
+ Ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the shift
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment
A fast-paced, hands-on production setting with daily output goals. Work involves plastic components and HVAC product manufacturing. The **12-hour 3/4 rotation** schedule provides work-life balance plus **overtime opportunities** for hours beyond 40 each week.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterford, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
