Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to safely and efficiently manage the operation of our mix system, extrusion system, dryer, cooler, and transfer systems. The role involves ensuring product compliance and maintaining strict adherence to FDA-GMP and SQF standards within our Manufacturing areas.

Responsibilities

+ Operate the mix system, extrusion system, dryer, cooler, and transfer systems safely and efficiently.

+ Adhere strictly to FDA-GMP and SQF standards to ensure proper execution of programs.

+ Perform daily start-up, shut down, and clean-up of the extrusion operation, which includes managing minor ingredient feeders, recording lot numbers, maintaining cleanliness, and checking air filter systems.

+ Operate heating/cooling systems, liquid tanks/pumps/meters, and understand functions of the HMI and PLC.

+ Clean, maintain, and set-up extrusion dies and knives, and operate the cooler/dryer and transfer systems.

+ Monitor product quality, perform quality audits, and report any deviations to the Production Supervisor promptly.

+ Maintain housekeeping of the machine and plant area, including sweeping, trash removal, and machine cleaning.

+ Prepare for next day’s/shift’s production and finalize paperwork accurately.

Essential Skills

+ Basic knowledge of hand tools.

+ Mechanical aptitude and ability.

+ Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

+ Extruder or machine operating experience is preferred.

+ Experience with computer/PLC systems is helpful.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Prior experience in production, assembly, packaging, inspection, and use of hand tools.

+ Familiarity with production line operations, extrusion, GMP standards, and food batch mixing.

Work Environment

The work environment is maintained at a comfortable temperature, not exceeding 85 degrees. The night shift operates from 7pm to 7am, Monday through Thursday, with training provided on this shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of KANSAS CITY, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
