    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    The Material Handler plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing plant. This position involves loading and unloading materials from flatbed trucks, managing inventory, and delivering materials to designated areas to support production. The role requires precision in handling materials, as errors can lead to significant financial losses.

    Responsibilities

    + Load and unload materials on and off flatbed trucks.

    + Deliver materials to designated areas and replenish the fabrication line.

    + Manage and count physical inventory in the yard.

    + Notify department leads and supervisors of any errors in material placement or damaged products.

    + Shrink-wrap products and assist in building custom wooden crates for transport.

    + Operate forklifts and work with racking systems both inside and outside.

    + Use inventory systems and perform data entry using an iPad and desktop devices.

    + Meet daily and overall production goals for respective departments.

    + Maintain a clean and organized yard and shop.

    + Stage and stack products on racking systems outside, handling large items up to 20 feet long.

    Essential Skills

    + Forklift operation experience.

    + Experience with inventory management and shipping/receiving functions.

    + Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
