Job Description – Firetruck Assembly Technician

**Location:** Ocala, FL

**Shift:** 1st Shift — (Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM–3:00 PM)

**Type:** Full‑time | Great opportunity for advancement

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Firetruck Assembly Technician to join a growing production team in Ocala, FL. The ideal candidate will assemble critical components of firetrucks, including wiring, electrical systems, plumbing lines, and mechanical parts. This role requires the ability to read shop orders, follow detailed instructions, and use a variety of hand and power tools to ensure proper installation of all components.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble firetruck components including wiring, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical parts following shop orders and build specifications.

+ Route and connect wires, harnesses, and electronic components accurately.

+ Install plumbing lines, fittings, and hoses to required specifications.

+ Build and mount mechanical components using basic fabrication and assembly skills.

+ Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings to ensure accurate installation.

+ Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

+ Experience with wiring.

+ Mechanical assembly experience (automotive, industrial, or similar).

+ Basic plumbing assembly skills.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings.

+ Proficient with hand tools and power tools.

+ Strong attention to detail and quality.

+ Must be able to lift 40–50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods.

Preferred Experience

+ Previous experience in assembly, or experience working with hand and power tools

+ Experience in industrial manufacturing environments.

+ Comfort working in a fast‑paced production setting.

Work Environment

+ Indoor manufacturing environment.

+ Physical role requiring bending, lifting, and standing throughout the shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
