    Job Title: Windows Installer

    Job Description

    The Service Technician is responsible for on-site diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments to windows, doors, and related products. This role involves troubleshooting, performing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and quality service.

    Responsibilities

    + Diagnose and repair windows, doors, and other products.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

    + Ensure customer satisfaction through quality service and communication.

    + Replace glass on doors and windows.

    + Operate various hand and power tools such as a nail gun, staple gun, hammer, and circular saw.

    + Complete work orders using technology such as an iPad.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 3 years of experience with repairing windows, including patio doors, sliding doors, and bi-fold doors.

    + Ability to read a tape measure and calculate measurements in feet and inches.

    + Experience in customer service.

    + Proficient with using an iPad for completing work orders.

    + Maintain a clean driving record.

    + Good with construction, finish carpentry, and using power and hand tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Excellent verbal communication skills.

    + Skill in reading and understanding written and oral instructions.

    + Intermediate analytical ability.

    + Ability to visualize concepts and products and explain them orally.

    + Capability to complete basic paper forms.

    Work Environment

     

    Work a flexible day shift starting at 7 am, potentially extending to 6 pm. Prepare to travel primarily within Western Michigan, with occasional trips to Lansing or Northern Michigan. The role involves working both indoors and outdoors, so dress appropriately for the weather. Enjoy the independence of working individually most of the time, with no emergency on-call duties. Work Monday through Friday, with weekends off.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
